A person is one constituted in language and as human beings we function in the sphere of language.
One of the most powerful means of functioning in the sphere of language is through a certain kind of listening. Listening to another person without any of your positions, views, opinions, rationalizations, justifications, judgements and significant history.
You need to leave the speaker “complete” with the experiences that he or she has actually been “gotten”. This is the way masters listen and it is called “authentic listening”. Listen authentically.
